A powerful Atlantic low is now repeatedly steering weak disturbances across Western Europe and the western Mediterranean towards us. A new one will approach the Alps from the south on Wednesday. North of the main Alpine ridge, it will remain dry, but on the main Alpine ridge itself, some snowfall is expected for a short time. Thursday promises a temporary improvement with generally longer periods of sunshine. A disturbance will reach us from the west on Friday and promise some precipitation in general with heavy cloud cover. The snow line will be around 1400 meters above sea level. The weather forecast for the coming weekend currently looks very positive. With moderately cold temperatures, there will be only a few clouds in the weather, and the sun will be able to shine brightly.
