After a brief improvement in the weather, we will once again be caught in an unstable and persistently cold northwesterly to northerly flow starting Sunday. A relatively weak cold front, which will reach us as early as Saturday night, will bring heavy cloud cover and the last light snow showers for much of Sunday. The northwesterly wind will pick up in strength as a new frontal system moves toward us during Monday. Amid heavy cloud cover, precipitation will intensify toward the evening, and the snow line will drop significantly below 1000 meters above sea level once again. Further snow showers extending down into low-lying valleys will follow on Tuesday, though there may also be a few sunny breaks in between. Wednesday will also be windy, mostly cloudy, and cold. However, no significant snowfall is expected. The same weather pattern is also expected to continue on Thursday.
