A high-pressure system over Eastern Europe will prevent Atlantic low-pressure systems from advancing toward Central Europe in the near future. This time, however, they will not be diverted to Northern Europe, but will be blocked in the Mediterranean region. Between the high-pressure system and low air pressure over the central Mediterranean region, somewhat colder but still very dry air is flowing in from the continent. This influx of cold air will continue to intensify towards the weekend and beyond, but the weather will remain predominantly pleasant and dry. This means that we can expect the sunny weather to continue until Thursday. Some larger clouds are likely to mix into the weather from Friday onwards, but no significant precipitation is expected.
